Colour is a power which directly influences the soul.

— Wassily Kandinsky

So you’ve got some questions…

Isn’t colour analysis subjective?

This is probably the number one question – and a fair one!

While there is an element of human interpretation, professional colour analysis is actually based on consistent principles: undertone, contrast, and how your natural colouring interacts with different hues.

During your session, I’m not guessing – I’m comparing. You’ll literally be able to see the difference in real time as certain colours brighten your skin, smooth your features, and make your eyes pop… while others do the opposite.

It’s less “trust me” and more “look at this.” 👀

What if I don’t like my season?

Totally valid fear – and honestly, it almost never happens.

Most people don’t dislike their season… they just haven’t seen themselves in the right version of those colours before.

Also – this isn’t about putting you in a box or taking things away. It’s about understanding why certain colours already work on you, and how to recreate that feeling more consistently.

And if there are colours you love that aren’t technically in your palette? I’ll help you work with that. This is meant to feel empowering, not restrictive.

Do I have to throw out my whole wardrobe?

Absolutely not. We are not burning your closet to the ground 🔥

Think of this as a filter, not a reset. You’ll likely realize you already own pieces that do work – and going forward, you’ll just make more intentional choices.

This is about refining, not starting over.

Can I still wear black?

Ah yes. The emotional support colour 🖤

Short answer: yes… but how you wear it might change depending on your season.

For some people, black is perfect. For others, it can feel a bit harsh – but I can show you how to soften it with layering, makeup, or by swapping in better neutrals that give the same vibe without washing you out.

No one is taking black away from you, I promise.

What if I love colours that “aren’t for me”?

You’re allowed to love what you love – always.

Colour analysis isn’t about rules, it’s about awareness. Once you understand your best colours, you get to choose when to follow that guidance and when to break it.

And sometimes, it’s not the colour you love – it’s the idea of it. I can usually help find a version of that colour that does work for you.

Do I need to come without makeup or with my natural hair?

Ideally, yes – at least for the analysis portion.

I want to see you without anything influencing your natural colouring. Makeup, self-tanner, and even certain hair tones can slightly shift how colours reflect onto your skin. I STRONGLY recommend coming without makeup (or at least be willing to wipe it off with provided makeup remover wipes once you get here!) as it can negatively impact your session. Hair colour is fine – if your hair is coloured, we will cover it up during the session.

What if I’ve dyed my hair?

Totally okay – most people have.

Your season is based on your natural colouring (skin, eyes, and underlying contrast), not your current hair colour. I’ll work with what you have and talk through how your hair plays into your overall look.

Can my season change over time?

Your core colouring (undertone) doesn’t change – so your season stays the same.

However, things like aging, hair colour, or how much contrast you have can shift slightly, which might influence how you wear your palette.

Think of it as evolving within your season, not switching to a new one.

What if I tan? Does that change things?

Tanning can deepen your colouring, but it doesn’t change your undertone.

So no – you don’t suddenly become a different season. Your best colours stay consistent, even if your skin tone shifts slightly.

How do I actually use my palette after?

This is where the magic happens ✨

You’ll use your palette as a guide when shopping, choosing makeup, picking hair colours, and even putting outfits together.

It makes everything easier – less second-guessing, fewer “why does this feel off?” moments, and way more confidence in what you’re wearing.

How strict do I have to be?

Not strict at all.

This isn’t a rulebook – it’s a tool. You can follow it closely, loosely, or somewhere in between.

Most people naturally gravitate toward it once they see how good they feel in the right colours.

Is it actually worth it?

I’m biased… but also, yes!

Most people have spent years (and a lot of money) buying things that almost work.

Colour analysis helps you understand what truly works – so you can shop more intentionally, get more wear out of what you own, and feel more like yourself in the process.

It’s one of those things that clicks and then changes how you see everything.

Will this actually make a noticeable difference?

Yes – and usually immediately!

It’s often subtle in theory, but very obvious in practice. Better colours can make your skin look clearer, your eyes brighter, and your overall appearance more balanced – without changing anything else.

It’s kind of wild, honestly.

What will my session be like?

Honestly? It’s a mix of science, self-discovery, and a really fun couple of hours.

We’ll go through a series of drapes (different coloured fabrics) and compare how each one interacts with your skin, eyes, and overall features. You’ll be able to see the shifts – what brightens you, what softens you, and what just… doesn’t.

I’ll walk you through everything as we go, so you’re not just getting a result, you’re actually understanding why certain colours work for you.

It’s very collaborative, very relaxed, and usually involves at least one “wait… what??” moment when something clicks in a way you didn’t expect.

We can play music, sip coffee (I’ll have fresh coffee and tea on hand for you, if you like!), and if you’re feeling a little extra, I also offer mimosas or champagne for purchase – because why not make it a moment? 🥂

Think of it less like an appointment… and more like a really fun, slightly eye-opening hangout.

Where will my session be held?

Sessions are held either in my home office or in my Airbnb suite, depending on availability and timing.

Both are set up to have the right lighting and environment for accurate results — just slightly different vibes.

If your session is in the Airbnb suite, I may also offer a discounted rate if you’re interested in staying there as part of your booking. Think of it as a little Glow Theory getaway moment ✨

Can I do a virtual session?

Yes – I do offer virtual sessions. I just like to be very transparent that they’re less precise than in-person.

Colour analysis relies heavily on seeing how colours reflect onto your skin in real life. Cameras, lighting, screen settings, and photo quality can all affect how colour shows up, which means virtual results are helpful, but not as exact.

That said, if you’re not local or can’t attend in person, a virtual session can still be a great starting point and offer really useful direction.

If you later decide you’d like to upgrade to an in-person session, a portion of your virtual session fee can be applied toward it. That way, you don’t have to feel like you’re starting all over again.

If you want the most accurate, confidence-building result from the start, though, in-person is absolutely the best option!

How do I know if you’re the right fit for me?

This is such a good question – and it does matter!

If you’re looking for a super clinical, no-personality experience… I’m probably not your girl 😅

But if you want something that feels like sitting down with someone who gets it – someone who’s going to be honest, explain things in a way that actually makes sense, and make the whole experience feel fun and relaxed – then we’ll likely get along really well.

I’m quick-witted, a little sarcastic in a loving way, and I care a lot about making sure you leave feeling better than when you walked in – not overwhelmed or judged.

At the end of the day, this is a pretty personal experience. You should feel comfortable, seen, and like you can just be yourself. If that sounds like your vibe, you’re in the right place 💛

Can my mom / friend / sister come with me?

Yes – and I actually love when people bring someone with them!

You’re welcome to have 1–2 guests join your session (max, just due to space). They can hang out, watch the process, and be part of the experience with you.

It often makes it even more fun – and it’s nice to have someone there for those “okay wait, I see it now??” moments.

Can you do multiple sessions at once?

Absolutely – and these are some of my favourite bookings!

If you’re coming with a friend, sister, or doing a mother/daughter session, I’ll book you back-to-back so you can both be part of each other’s experience.

You’ll get your own dedicated analysis, but still share the process together – which makes it feel more like an event than an appointment.

Will you travel to us?

You bet I will!

Travel sessions are available depending on location and group size. Travel rates may apply, so the best thing to do is reach out with your details and I can put together a custom option for you.

What about events?

I would love to.

Bachelorettes, bridal showers, birthdays, girls’ weekends – this kind of thing is honestly such a fun addition to an event and brings SO MUCH JOY to my little heart!

If you’re thinking about incorporating colour analysis into something like this, send me a message and we can dream something up together ✨
